Privacy Policy
RankScore is a free website auditing tool operated by Peter Drew. This policy explains, in plain English, what we collect and why. We have deliberately kept the data we hold to the minimum the product needs to work.
What we collect
- The website address you ask us to scan. We fetch that page publicly, the same way a search engine would, and store the resulting report so you can return to it.
- Your name and email address, if you sign in with Google or enter your email to unlock a report. That is the entire extent of what we receive from Google — see below.
- Basic usage events (a scan started, a report unlocked, a link clicked) so we can see whether the product is working. IP addresses are stored only as a one-way hash, never in raw form.
What we request from Google — and what we do not
When you choose "Sign in with Google", we request only three standard, non-sensitive scopes: openid, email and profile. That gives us your email address, your name and your profile picture.
We do not request, receive, or have any ability to access your Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar, or any other Google service or restricted data. We do not ask for offline access, so we hold no refresh token and cannot act on your account when you are not present. You can review or revoke this access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
How we use it
- To run your audit and email you the PDF report you asked for.
- To keep your scan history so you can re-open past reports and watch a score change over time.
- To send you occasional emails about RankScore and related products. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Who else touches your data
We use a small number of established providers strictly to deliver the product: Google (sign-in, and the PageSpeed Insights API), Resend (sending your report by email), AWeber (our mailing list), DataForSEO (search-ranking data), DeepSeek (the AI answer check), and Railway and Cloudflare (hosting and delivery). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
How long we keep it
Scan results are cached for 24 hours; report links stay live for 30 days. Member accounts and mailing-list records are kept until you ask us to remove them.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from any email, revoke our Google access at the link above, or ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it. To do any of that, contact us at petesupport.com and we will action it.
Children
RankScore is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page.
